DESCRIPTION
This final project was from my freshman year for my Introduction to Interior Design 101 & 102 courses. The project involved creating a community exploration center in the High Falls area of Downtown Rochester, NY on top of an existing building. We were assigned to create an exploration space of our choice, along with a cafe, and viewing area of the falls. I chose to create an open, indoor playground that accommodates all age groups. Key features within the space involve an elevated level that is accessible by stairs and a lift that leads to banquette seating, as well as a twisty slide that reaches the main play space. There are also viewing ports that are cut into the wall across from the slide that allow visitors to climb in and see the falls.
